On March 7, architect Ho Khue and his team had a trip to Tay Vinh commune, Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province to directly discuss with people and local teachers to come up with the idea of designing a green playground for children in remote area. This is a community project aiming to alleviate the pain of war that Ho Khue is involved as an architectural partner chosen by the Korea-Vietnam Peace Foundation.
Previously, 4 unique, green playgrounds located in the school yard of Dien Duong commune, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province, designed by Ho Khue, were also handed over in the happiness of the teachers and students. The project in Tay Vinh, Binh Dinh province is a continuation of community-oriented activities that Ho Khue is actively pursuing.
“We have read and understood the people's losses, griefs and indelible memories of the war times. Korean soldiers massacred, left behind war scares that cannot be healed until nowadays. For that reason, the return of the progressive Koreans and the enthusiasm to build schools and green playgrounds will help heal the pain of war and look forward to a good future, ”said architect Ho Khue.
The green playgrounds project in Tay Vinh commune will include 4 creative playgrounds. The idea for each playground was originated from the local students, with innocent paintings depicting the dream playground. From those heartful paintings, the architects created interesting green spaces which are suitable to children and families.
